Set early in season one, we get a glimpse of Sam and Dean reconnecting after their pre-series separation the Winchester way, with sparring and snark. Josh, the original character and the story's narrator, with his child's perceptiveness sees them for what they are. The author creates a believable character, and I love his view of the brothers, epitomized by the following quote:

"...he knew they were superheroes because he read a lot of comic books and some of them, especially the ones without special powers, had to do training.
