As much as the warnings and summary might imply, this story is hardly sunshine and laughter. It’s dark, gritty, and in some ways horrifying to read. The teenage!Tony that the author paints is not a happy one; he’s used, abused, and treated like an object instead of a treasured son and human being. He’s a vicitim and Bruce Wayne, for all his play acting, cannot let that pass.

What I like most about this fic, despite its shortness, is its potential. There’s so story much there, both before and after this scene, that I can’t help but enjoy it. It’s like being given a chance to peek into another universe that bridges the gap between two of the most distinct characters ever created and let me tell you, it’s a very very memorable peek.
