This is the best thing ever written!!! Okay, sorry, I’m just so freaking thrilled about the ‘Bachelor Mother’ part of this. ‘Bachelor Mother’ is one of the best movies of all time, only to be excelled by the remake, ‘Bundle of Joy.’ ‘Bachelor Mother’ is a beautiful black and white with Ginger Rodgers and David Niven. And this story does such a good job of transitioning it to modern times.
I love how this story is about more than just the tale of a baby finding a home; it’s the story of Arthur finally doing what he wants to do with his life. Review: Just a bit of sweet (and hot) Holmes/Watson Christmas fic, Sherlock BBC style. Great John and Sherlock voices; the banter is exactly right and very entertaining. I like this story especially because it's so easy to picture. The way that Sherlock studies John, as well as the way that John picks up Sherlock's habits of deduction, are lovely, perfect details. All in all, Lab Book is an endearing, cheerful little Christmas fic.
