The best Torchwood fic ever written. After the Doctor abandons him on the game station, Jack spends decades waiting for him to come back. The Master finds him instead. The result is an insanely kickass AU that diverges from canon, then loops back around and merges with it again, but with several important differences.

Seriously, this thing is almost as long as War and Peace, if War and Peace consisted entirely of Jack Harkness getting whumped, the Master being deliciously insane & evil, and Ianto, Martha, and co. being awesome.

Pay attention to the warnings, though. The Master is a twisted, evil person, and he does bad, bad things to Jack. I swear it has a happy ending, though.
