Well phooey. I go to all the trouble to have a week's worth of recs and then I don't have time to post them. Grr. I'll post the rest of them today.

Title: The Pandora Incident
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Harry/Snape
Categories: humor
Length: long

Review:
Twenty years after book seven, a recently divorced Harry finally makes his way to Snape's tomb to pay his last respects, only to find that Snape's not quite as dead as everyone had thought. Unfortunately, he's also not in his own body either, though the small wooden box currently housing his soul is rather fetching. Hijinks (and, uh, box sex) ensues.

This story has a lot going for it: sly humor, wacky situations (almost as wacky as the actual books!), fantastic writing. The best part of the fic, however, is the amazing characterization of Snape. Unlike most HP fic, which softens Snape up to socially acceptable levels, this Snape is as sharp and iracible as he was in the books. So what that he's been dead for twenty years and is currently stuck in a box? So what that he's currently at the mercy of Harry Potter, a recent divorcee who really needs to get laid? So what that his entire existence hangs on the combined intellectual efforts of Hermione and (snort) Draco? Nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to turn this man fluffy. And somehow that just makes him more lovable. A must-read for any Snape fan.

Review:
"When most people turned forty, their friends threw them an 'Over the Hill' party and sent them humorous cards with bad jokes about aging.

When Lex Luthor turned forty, never one to follow the crowd, he promptly seceded from the U.S., aimed a death ray squarely at Washington DC demanding that the U.S. acknowledge his newly sovereign territory as the Independent Kingdom of Lexonia, and kidnapped Lana Lang in order to make her his queen.

There were times when Clark really hated his life."

Come on, how can you go wrong with a story that begins like *that*? Not for anyone who absolutely requires angst in their fic, but if you're looking for sheer silliness just this side of slapstick, this is the fic for you!
