Review:
Very interesting take on pureblood culture and politics. Most children's/young adult fantasy novels avoid having to explain why bad guys do the things they do by assuming they are all EVIL. The Harry Potter stories are not any different, but I'm sure some of us have wondered whether the Slytherins, on top of been made of EVIL, are all politically inept. Why else would they follow a madman who is bound to fail? Well, Graylor gives a plausible answer in Lost Roses.

I can't say that Draco and Harry are completely canon, but their actions are well-motivated. Lucius, Narcissa, and Severus (no, he's still dead) all make an appearance and contribute significantly to the plot.

A mysterious curse, a rogue Auror on the loose, Draco and Harry forming a bond without themselves knowing, magical creatures, and a very happy ending. What's not to love? Go read.
