Review:
While Max was being held captive by (and tortured by) Agent Pierce, he ended up clinging to a mental image of Kyle Valenti as his anchor point. Now that it's time to actually talk about what happened to him while he was held prisoner, there's only one person he can really unburden himself to.

I'm reccing this fic because of the Kyle dialogue. Actually, all of the dialogue is good, but Matthew does such a brilliant job with Kyle that I could actually hear his voice in my head, nearly a decade after the last time I watched an episode of Roswell. Pragmatic, exasperated, unintentionally witty, and very, *very* put-upon (while simultaneously trying to be comforting), Kyle's voice is simply perfect. Mix in Max being uptight and stoic and Sheriff Valenti's amusing abandonment of his son at the first sign of emotional sharing and you have the fast-paced, vastly entertaining story that actually converted me to the Max/Kyle pairing. Ideal for fans of banter and/or Roswell slash.
