Review:
Most “Hey Arnold!” fics reflect the fact that the source material is geared towards a very young audience – terrible spelling and grammar, ludicrous plots and just plain awful characterization. There are, however, a handful of very good fics (though no real epics) and to me this is one of them.

The story itself is very straightforward: after her death, Helga’s boyfriend contemplates all the things she had kept hidden from him. The fact that this is written from an original character’s point of view and deals heavily with character death (more than one, actually) will probably discourage a lot of people. Yes, it is incredibly depressing. But at the same time it is incredibly well written and extremely moving. It’s one of those stories that stick to you long after you read the last word – I finished reading it with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face.
