Inverted by alecdvnpt (PG-13)
Title: Inverted
Fandom: The Mortal Instruments series
Pairing: Alec/Magnus
Categories: Angst, hurt/comfort, romance, fix-it fic
Length: Medium (6300)
Warnings: none
Author on LJ: N/A
Author's website: alecdvnpt on Tumblr
Summary: The world seemed a little more bearable upside down, or so Alec thought, until Magnus comes to him and their situation begins to reverse.
Review:
I'm a sucker for a good fix-it fic, and after the tragic happenings of City of Lost Souls, I think we're all in need of one. There's something about just the right amounts of angst and pain mixed with laughter and warm fuzziness that really makes a fic feel right, and I think this one hits that spot well.
All the characters we meet--of course, Alec and Magnus especially--are well-characterized, and it's obvious that the author really knows the world they're writing about. The flow and language is handled carefully and leaves you with a soft smile on your face. Alec and Magnus are meant to be together and this just really drives that home for me. There is hope for the future!
