Weight of Darkness, Power of Light by Rather (PG-13)
Since all of my fics this week were rare pairing, I thought I'd wrap things up with a gen fic.
Title: Weight of Darkness, Power of Light by Rather (PG-13)
Fandom: The Sentinel
Pairing: gen
Categories: angst, hurt/comfort, AU
Length: Long (~27,000 words)
Warnings: n/a
Author on LJ: n/a?
Website: n/a
Review:
After the Alex mess, Blair ends up moving out of the loft and, while he and Jim do patch up their relationship, Jim reading part of the diss gets him disqualified as a research subject. Thus Blair has to go looking for a new sentinel.
Fair warning: this story is a bit disjointed and does get a tiny bit smarmy at the end. That said, post Sentinel, Too fics are like crack to me and this one is well written and quite unique and is very much worth a read. I love the spin Rather puts on the Sentinel/Guide pairing, I love that Rainier is actually supportive (*gasp*) of Blair, and I love the way that Jim and Blair's relationship changes and grows, with neither one made out to be the bad guy.
A different kind of Sentinel fic for folks wanting to expand their horizons.
