Skelping by Mad Poetess (NC-17)
Title: Skelping
Fandom: Angel: the Series
Pairing: Doyle/Wesley, Cordelia/Dennis
Categories: light angst, light fluff, ghost
Length: Long (~15,000 words)
Warnings: Doyle and Dennis are ghosts so: character death/undeath, ghost sex (happy ending on this one)
Author on LJ:

Author Website: Pointy Stakes, AO3 – Mad Poetess, AO3 – Crazypaving
Review:
When Doyle realizes there actually is an afterlife he’s thrilled. Maybe he can’t touch anything, but at least he can keep an eye on everyone and interact with the other ghosts.
I really adore this pairing, and this is by far the best version of Doyle/Wes I’ve come across, understandable with Doyle being dead and all. Everyone’s perfectly in character, and Mad Poetess does a great job of working canon into this while not focusing on it.
The neatest part of this story is the fact that ghost/human relationships really seem quite possible in this version of reality. I love that every ghost is given different abilities to interact with the human world. All in all a very sweet and satisfying read.
