Summary: The holiday on Coruscant... a time for Masters and Padawans to celebrate together in the Temple. A progression of years seen through the eyes of Anakin Skywalker on this special night.
Review: Solstice Night takes place in an alternate Star Wars universe where Qui-gon does not die before becoming Anakin’s Master. Each section of the story shows Anakin’s life on a different Solstice night.
Because of its unusual set up, the story is very fast paced. Despite this it really builds depth into Qui-gon, Obi-wan, and Anakin’s characters. I particularly love the introspection Anakin has on his turn to the Dark Side and being saved by Obi-wan.
This is the perfect read if you’re looking for a serious but warm and fuzzy story to help you get over the after Holiday blues or distract you from your mid-winter cold.
