Genie always comes back to Al, because the world is huge, and there really isn't any place like home, even when home is a time.
Review:
This is a beautiful, bittersweet look at Genie through the ages, as he travels forwards and back in time. It's a thoughtful exploration of what it would really mean to be an ageless being, and as a side bonus the author brilliantly explains Genie's tendency to quote twentieth century pop culture.
However, be warned that it really pulled on the heartstrings and mentions Aladdin's future death and two original character's deaths.
