There’s something quietly heartbreaking about this story. Written as part of a contrelamontre challenge, this fic, though short, manages to be poignant in its briefness, touching on Aragorn’s character in a way that is both powerful and telling. If you’re looking for something brief and bittersweet, I’d definitely recommend this.
