Review:
When a book that may or may not have been written by a homosexual medieval saint goes missing, it's up to Eddie and Monty to find it. An impressive number of gay medievalist jokes ensue.

Reads just like a (slightly slashy) episode of the show. Monty is charming and just little bit sleazy (but in a good way), Miss Moneypenny flirts with the best of them (or maybe Eddie's hallucinating), and Eddie is Put Upon by all all of England (but especially the Oxford part).

Funny, fast-paced, and very smile-inducing, this is a definite read for Keen Eddie fans.

Review:
This fic is nearly impossible to summarize, so I'll just give you some highlights: Performance artist breaks into Madame Tussaud's! Eddie/Pippin! A Miss Moneypenny sex hallucination featuring bonus Superintendent Johnson! Eddie/Johnson with Pippen being the Best Wingman Ever!

At any rate, this is like an episode of Keen Eddie, only wackier and with a bit lot more sex. All of the characters are great and the writing is perfectly quirky and cute, but the real star of this fic is Pippin, with his shameless escapades and incomparable ability to produce lube any time, anywhere.

Wry, sly, and just as quirky as the show, this is a definite must-read for any Keen Eddie fan.

I thought I'd end the week with a story to get you in the spirit for the upcoming holiday season. And hopefully to brighten your Friday at the same time:)

Review:
Preparing for his first Christmas in London, Eddie is cranky and exceedingly grinch-like, which is a perfect attitude for his newest case: tracking down the Vermillion Vigilante, a man who gets all dressed up in red and takes down petty criminals. Whee!

I miss Keen Eddie with its humor and quirkiness and hints of slashy subtext, and I have to say that this is the most impressively spot-on KE fic I've ever read. Between the hilarious Miss Moneypenny sex hallucination/fantasy (if you haven't seen the show I can't explain this to you, except to say that it's awesome), to the (sort of) affectionate sniping between Eddie and Fiona, to the friendly ribbing between Eddie and Monty, you have dialogue so sparkling that I wouldn't have been surprised to see it actually on the show. Mix in some Monty backstory and some hints of a budding romance and you have a sure-fire way to put a smile on your face. Happy Holidays!
